The river of Bourne flows through Chobham and floods it rarely. Furthermore, Chobham is well known for its tank factory. The tank factory was once engraved out of Chobham Common and produced Chobham armor.
On the other hand, “treacle mines” also situated nearby the factory. “Treacle mines” are the places where soldiers buried their treacle tins before leaving off for the Crimean War.
There are four well-known pubs in Chobham. These four pubs are:
- The Four Horseshoes, which is located in Burrowhill- a classical English village that is complete with a blacksmith and baker. During the summer time, lots of areas are provided for guests who prefer to sit outside.
- The Sun Inn, which is known as the last existing pub in the High St. The Sun Inn was saved by the locals that bought the pub to avoid the pub from being converted to a classy restaurant.
- The Red Lion, a pub that provides the local housing estate.
- The Castle Grove, a pub with a saloon bar and a public bar.
